Spruce syrup

Ingredients

One Cup spruce tips

One Cup sugar

One Cup water

Clean spruce tips place them in a heat proof bowl or jar. Mix the sugar and water in a small pot. Bring to a boil until sugar dissolves. Pour the hot syrup over the spruce tips. Let sit for 48 hours. You will want to put them in a jar and seal in a tightly covered jar. It will last two weeks.
